i think of consoles as for the casual gamer.. its a good compromise for gaming, consoles are cheaper than computers, and are just simpler to game with all together.. still fecking fun tho, and im fully pro at em :b. just not as hardcore as pc gamers

i have both and i can actively compare them.

I prefer 360 by far don't get me wrong. but when it comes to ultra hi def.. 1080p/1080i on massive screens and projectors with mass 7.1/9.1 surround. PS3 wins. Sheerly because they can fit all the different sound and video modes onto it.

but when it comes to games.. the things that matter.

are PS3 games really that bad? because i would get a PS3 just for Gran Turismo 5. that's the only game i really like from PS3. don't know any others. i've heard Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid and some Resident Evil (i think?) are really good PS3 titles.

Xbox 360 is like gaming only. can't do much cept play games...and to be honest nobody is going to use it to play dvd.

Sony wants Microsoft to use their blu-ray drive for their next console, but Microsoft is pretty much saying "talk to the hand bitch" to Sony, but then again...Toshiba/Microsoft gave up on HD-DVD...so i dunno what's gonna happen. there's no way they'll use a dvd drive for Xbox720 (if it's called that) because they'll need more disc space to put stuff.

i'd buy a PS3 just because it's still like the cheapest Blu-Ray player LOL

i use my xbox to play dvds :b. dunno why pople dont, picture is crystal clear. but yea, im trying to convince parents to get a ps3 as a bluray player instead of an actual bluray player, would be so much better :b

i myself dont see any kind of difference between the dvd and bluray you dont notice anything on most tvs (though if there was a difference i would notice it on my tv cause its awsome )

i prefer the 360 over the ps3 mainly cause it looks like alot of the sequels of the tittles that were ps2 only are comming to the 360 like (and correct me if im wrong) metal gear solid 4 plus most of the games i like are on the xbox. and stop raving about graphics some of the best games have shit graphics like pacman
